Billy Ray Nicholson Jr., age 48, of Lafayette, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, April 15, 2020 at Erlanger Hospital. He was born January 10, 1972 in Dalton, GA. He was preceded in death by his father, Billy Ray Nicholson Sr., father-in-law, Grady Carnes.

He is survived by his wife, Crystal Carnes Nicholson of the residence; mother, Barbara Nicholson of Chatsworth, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lela and David Curtis, Nancy and Dennis Gentry, Donna and Ray Cook of Dalton, GA, Pam and James Ewers of Chatsworth, GA; mother-in-law, Carolyn Holcomb Carnes of Lafayette, GA; niece, Rebecca; nephews, Jimmy, Nicholas, Lucas, Cove; great nephew, Hudson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside service to celebrate the life of Billy Ray Nicholson Jr. will be held Tuesday April 21, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. from the Kinsey Cemetery with Pastor John Dorsey officiating. The family will receive friends at the cemetery from 2:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to held with expenses.

Due to restrictions from the Covid-19 pandemic crowd restrictions will be implemented.
