Mr. Billy Buford Land, age 79, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Monday, May 15, 2023, at the Calhoun Health Care Center. He was born May 5, 1944 in Dalton, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his mother Viola Land, son Scottie Land, brother E.G. Land, sister Rose Wooten.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Barbara Land; daughters and sons-in-law, Michelle and Mark Baggett of Chatsworth, GA, Telena and Ronnie Hice of McDonald, TN; sister, Doris Jones of Resaca, GA; grandchildren, Amanda Benson, Hannah Collins, Alexa Hice, Heather Hice, Ryan Hice; great grandchildren, Mccoy, Addalyn, Kynadey, Waylon, Ethan; nephews, Steven Jones, Allen Hedden.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Billy Buford Land will be held Sunday May 21, 2023 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Calhoun Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Sunday.
