Mr. Billy Gene Greene, age 71 of Chatsworth, Georgia passed away Sunday, January 19, 2014 at his residence. Billy was born June 11, 1942 in Kings Mt., North Carolina, a son of the late Billy Greene and Robena Powell McBryant. He was also preceded in death by his son Daniel Greene, grandson, Clinton Greene, grandparents, Robert and Pearl Powell, brother, Steve Greene, brother-in-law, Frank Williams, Bobby Williams, Grady Jackson, John Nicholson, Bud Shoemaker, Horace Williams, Emmet Williams, sister-in-law, Louise Williams and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Reverend Charlie and Beulah Williams.

He is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Faye Williams Greene of the residence; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Ricky Wheat of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jason and Robin Wheat, Dustin and Mary Beth Wheat, Selena Greene and Damein Reiniche; great grandchildren, Tyler, Cody, Ansley, Justus and Ian Wheat; sisters and brothers-in-law, Nancy and Bobby Dollar of Varnell, GA, Rena and Bill Dollar of Fairmount, GA, Johnnie and Sam Miles of Resaca, GA, brothers and sisters-in-law, Tony and Lynn Greene, Randy and Toni Greene, Cliff and Cathy Greene all of North Carolina; sisters-in-law, Marcelle Nicholson of Chatsworth, GA, Sis Williams of Calhoun, GA, Gladys Jackson of Resaca, GA, Nellie Shoemaker of Chatsworth, GA, Welene Williams of Dalton, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Billy Gene Greene will be held Wednesday January 22, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. from the Freewill Church of Jesus Christ with Pastor Michael Nicholson and Reverend Gary Shoemaker officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Justin Holden, Dustin Wheat, Jason Wheat, Kensley Nicholson, Robert Williams, and Kenny Dollar serving as pallbearers. Brother Benny Allen and Chris Shoemaker will serve as honorary pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. on Tuesday.
