Reverend Billy Joe Cochran, 86, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, November 18, 2019 at Emory University Hospital. He was born June 5, 1933 in Dalton, GA a son of the late Warren Neal and Grace Conley Cochran. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Jewel Cochran, Collian Cochran, Ralph Cochran, sisters, Thelma Elders, Ruth Scuggs, Marie Callahan Ramsey, Mammie Bishop. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Billy Joe loved his family and to serving the Lord.

He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Prima Lee Cochran of the residence: son and daughter-in-law, Chris Cochran and Arlene Crawford of Adairsville, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Andrew Hawkins of Silver Creek, GA; sister, Betty McCarson of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Lexie Elizabeth Cochran, Ashley Cheyenne Hawkins; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Reverend Billy Joe Cochran will be held Saturday November 23, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. in the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Charlie Hamm and Reverend Adam Harrison officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m.
