Mrs. Betty Louise Parker, age 84, of Tunnel Hill, GA, departed this life and entered into God's kingdom on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Betty was born December 28, 1931 in Dalton, GA, to the late Joe Cleary, Sr. and RamiePritchett Cleary. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Lee Parker; granddaughter, Tracy King; sister, Mary Dover; brothers, Charles Cleary, Donald Cleary, Joe Cleary, Jr., Roy Cleary; son-in-law, Wayne Guffey. Betty was a lifelong member of McFarland Hill Baptist Church.
Mrs. Betty Louise Parker is survived by her daughters; Judy Elaine Guffey, Connie Kay Oliver, Wilma and Jimmy Dixon; brothers, Bill Cleary, Trammell Cleary and Robert Cleary; grandchildren, Candice Eaton, Chris Dixon, Jeff Vess, Teresa Mullins, Jonathan Guffey, Jared Oliver, Chairssa Newby; great-grandchildren, Sabrina Bandy, Mitchell Bandy, Brittney Dixon, Hannah Dixon, Gunnar Dixon, Haley Vess, Hunter Vess, Hannah Bell Vess, Cage Long, Caine Guffey, Piper Guffey, Erica Newby, Jake Newby, Kinsey Newby and Brylee Newby. Several nieces, nephews and many friends.
Service to celebrate life of Mrs. Betty Louise Parker, will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Rev. Ronald Guffey and Rev. Chris Dixon officiating, burial will follow the service at West Hill Cemetery with Jeff Vess, Jared Oliver, Jonathan Guffey, Pernell Cleary, Ric Mullins and Cory Parish.
The family will receive friends, Friday, August 19, 2016 from Ponders Melrose Chapel from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
