Betty J Smithey Fuller, age 88 of Dalton, passed away Sunday March 8th, 2020.

She was born in the Center community of Bartow County Georgia on February 29th, 1932.  She is preceded in death by her parents Mable and Luther Knight, sisters Shirley Lyles and Ruth Springfield, and husbands George Smithey Jr and Hugh Fuller.

She is survived by her son, Johnny Smithey and girlfriend Donna McArthur; grandsons and daughters-in-law, Eric and Kim Smithey, Blake and Ashley Smithey, great-grandson Joseph Smithey, siblings Geneva Knight, Barbara Rester and Marvin Knight, brother-in-law Sammy Springfield, and nieces and nephews.

Funeral services to celebrate the life of Betty Fuller will be Friday March 13, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home of Dalton with Scott Shepard and Tommy Higden officiating. Interment will follow in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm Thursday March 12, 2020.
