Mrs. Betty Ruth Edwards Bigham, age 70, of Dalton, GA, departed this life, Saturday January 27, 2018 at her home. Betty was born January 27, 1948 in Ringgold, GA, the daughter of the late Clinton Edwards and Earsie Smith Edwards. Betty was also preceded in death by her brothers, Eugene Edwards and Darrell Edwards; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Clarence Bigham, Bobby Bigham and Wilma Sutton, Peggy Edwards, Charles Cutright. Betty worked at Winn-Dixie and when not working, she was outside tending to her flower beds and garden.

Mrs. Betty Ruth Edwards Bigham is survived by her husband, Harold Bigham, they have been married for 41 years; daughters, Beth and Tim Bryson, Amy and Jackie Huggins, Lisa and Kenneth Drain; grandchildren, Nathan Huggins, Amber Drain, Brittany Drain, Curtis Drain, Jessica Bryson; great- grandchildren, Logan Huggins, Sophia Duquett; Peyton Huggins; brothers, Marcus and Kaye Edwards, Jeff Edwards, James Edwards; sisters, Mary Turner, Marie and William Head, Sherry McKinney; sisters and brothers- in law, Ruth and Vineyard Newman, Gerald Bigham, Betty Sue and Lawrence Lavine, Thelma Cutright, Brenda Faye, Jean and Bill Smith and Jane Bigham and several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Betty will be held Tuesday January 30, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Tony Roberson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Ponders Colonial Hill Memorial Park Cemetery with Kenneth Drain, Tim Bryson, Nathan Huggins, Anthony Silburns, Allen Bunch, Michael Coleman serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Monday January 29, 2018 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. from Ponders Melrose Chapel.
