Mrs. Betty Jo Cagle, age 83 of Chatsworth, GA., departed this life, Saturday May 2, 2015 at the Gordon Health Care. Betty was born January 19, 1932 in Murray County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Mac Blankenship and Irene Mullinax Blankenship Bright. She was also preceded in death by her husband. Leamon Cagle, brothers, Lewis Blankenship, Jim Blankenship, sister, Doris Ruthland. She served her country in the United States Army. She was a member of the VFW and American Legion. She was retired from Textile Rubber and Chemical. She enjoyed cooking and baking.

She is survived by her son, James Cagle of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Gladys Pieniazek of Germany; sister, Agnes Sutton Wiley of Chatsworth, GA; two grandchildren, Bozena Pieniazek and Gregory Pieniazek; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Betty Jo Cagle will be held Wednesday May 6, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from Casey Springs Cemetery in Murray County with George Cross officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the Ponders Melrose Chapel, Dalton, GA.
