Ms. Bernice Duncan White, age 86, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday evening, August 30, 2017 at the local hospital. She was born March 2, 1931 in Scott County, TN a daughter of the late William and Mary Gibson Hinkle. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Duncan, brothers, Fred Hinkle, JC Hinkle, sisters, Opel Lee Hinkle, Hester Hinkle, Maxine Phillips, Rose Kidd, granddaughters, Laura Duncan, Misty Duncan, Kristy Pittman, great grandson, Cody Duncan Hughes.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William and Edna Duncan of Chatsworth, GA, David and Carolyn Duncan, Duane Duncan, Jimmy and Andrea Duncan; daughter, Etta Louise Thomas all of Dalton, GA; seven grandchildren, several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Bernice Duncan White will be held Tuesday September 5, 2017 at 1:00 p.m.from the Winona Baptist Church in Winona, TN with Reverend Carlie Duncan officiating. She will lie in state at the church from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Duncan Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Monday.
