Mr. Benson "Son" Bledsoe, age 90, of Chatsworth, Georgia, departed this life Thursday July 27, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

He was born February 2, 1933 in Madisonville, Tennessee, a son of the late William Noel "Lake" and Margaret Bowers Bledsoe.  He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Horace Lexie Bledsoe, Burlen Bledsoe, Arley Bledsoe, Vernon Levi Bledsoe, Brunner Bledsoe and Denver Bledsoe; sisters, Edith Venoia Bledsoe Sledge, Mary Bell Bledsoe, Eula Mae Bledsoe, Frances Leota Bledsoe Cagle and Allie Oma Bledsoe.

He was retired from Shaw Industries and loved to fish.

He is survived by his loving wife, Charleen Horn Bledsoe of the residence; daughter, Diane Bledsoe; son and daughter-in-law, David and Carolyn Bledsoe all of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Dava and Scott Goodson, and Rachel Bowling; great-grandchildren, Averin, Lavein, Layne, Kalyn, Braxton, Kayden and Khloe; several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Benson "Son" Bledsoe will be held Sunday, July 30, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Larry Hankins and Reverend Billy Willis officiating.  He will be laid to rest at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery with Charles Wilson, Raymond Wilson, Jeremy Tankersley, Chester Patterson, Gary Akins and Rick Bledsoe honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and after 12:00 p.m. Noon Sunday until the service hour.
