Mr. Benjamin Ernest Long Jr., age 77, Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life, Friday January 10, 2020 at the local hospital. He was born July 24, 1942 in Dalton, GA, a son of the late Ben Long Sr. and Willie May Hasty Long. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Louise Long, brother, Edward J. Long. He was a member of the Dunn's Rock Lodge #267 A.F. & A. M.

He is survived by his companion, Rosella Caylor of Rocky Face, GA; daughter, Ashari DiMera of Asheville, NC.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Benjamin Ernest Long Jr. will be held Thursday January 16, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Raymond McCranie and Reverend Bruce Beach officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday. He will be laid to rest at the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
