Obituary

Baxter was abandoned at a service station in Atlanta. He was recused and given to me by a very kind and special lady, Jan Stepp, on January 31, 2018. According to the Vet he was 2% years old at this time. We adapted very easily to each other. He was trained and became my service dog after a brain hemorrhage in August 2015. He was the most loving, caring. companion. He loved people, especially children and never harmful to anyone. He was a dog that seldom barked, especially at humans.
He was also loved dearly by my husband, Rodney. Baxter knew who took him out, gave him his nightly treats and took him for rides. Very seldom was he not with us. He easily adjusted to his environment or any situation whether camping, traveling on long trips, or overnight stays at Play n Stay, he was content. Everyone always complimented him and his behavior.
He was preceded in death by his Chihuahua friend, Jack Brant on July 3, 2022. They loved each other and had fun playing together. Jack's mom, Betty, called them, "Pete" and "Repete" due to their mimicking each other so often!
While our hearts mourn, our love will continue for our white, furry, miniature poodle who fought so hard to stay alive. He died peacefully in his sleep September 24,2024
