Mrs. Barbara Jean Weaver, age 79, of Cohutta, Georgia, departed this life, Sunday October 4, 2020 at her home. She was born October 2, 1941 a daughter of the late John William and Mary Cassie Elizabeth Marler Eslinger. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Henry Weaver, brothers, Andy Eslinger, Jim Eslinger, sisters, Dorothy Eslinger, Betty Thurman, Irene Durham.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Amber Weaver of Tunnel Hill, GA, David and Cindy Weaver of Dalton, GA, Tim and Sara Weaver of Old Fort, TN; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Keith Locke of Rocky Face, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Dennis and Dot Eslinger of Cleveland, TN; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Viola Brown, Evelyn Thompson, Linda and Charles Weaver all of Cohutta, GA; special pet, Chester; nine grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Jean Weaver will be held Friday October 9, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Dana Pinson officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Bryant Cemetery in Cohutta, GA, with her grandsons, Greg Weaver, Garrett Weaver, Nicholas Locke, Jackson Locke, Michael Weaver Jr., Corey Allen, Phillip Bowling and Justin Bowling serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
