Ms. Barbara Jean Sexton, 71, of Atlanta, Georgia, departed this life Friday, December 22, 2017 at the Pruitt Health West in Atlanta, GA. She was born October 31, 1946 in Coburn, WV, a daughter of the late George Lloyd and Edna Ruth Palmer Sexton. She was also preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Knapp, brother, Bobby Sexton, sister, Linda Bower.
She is survived by her sons, Steven Sexton of Novi, MI, Terry Lee Chambers of Andalusia, AL, Jerry Lee Chambers Jr. of Lake Butler, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Sherry and Tommy Branson of Dalton, GA, Helen and Dylan Pritchard of Chatsworth, GA, Paulette Knapp of Flushing, MI; brothers and sisters-in-law, Alan and Kathy Sexton of MI, Thomas and Sherry Sexton of Romulous, MI; sisters and brother-in-law, Mary Gribbon of Las Vegas, NV, Betty Martin of Riverview, MI, Gale and Melvin Erlich of Walled Lake, MI, Debra Guardiola of Clarkston, MI, Diane Fuller of Calhoun, GA; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Ms. Barbara Jean Sexton will be held on Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. from the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Charles Carnes officiating. She will be laid to rest at the Rocky Face Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 between the hours of 5:00 P.M. and 9:00 P.M.
