Mrs. Barbara Joyce Scott, age 68 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Tuesday July 11, 2023 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 10, 1954 in Dalton, Georgia, a daughter of the late Bennie and Mamie Bridges Pack. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Lloyd Pack, William Pack, Clinton Pack, grandchildren, Dylan Stinnett, Cory McHan.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Tommy Scott of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Brandy and Morrison Stinnett, Amy and Mark McHan of Rocky Face, GA, Kim and Daniel Owen of Dalton, GA; sisters, Juliene McKay of Dalton, GA, Vickey Lovette of Cleveland, TN, Shirley McIntyre of Resaca, GA; grandchildren, Triston Stinnett, Taylor Stinnett, Trey McHan, Hanah McHan, Matt McHan, Keily Owen, Sutton Owen, Emma Owen; great grandchildren, Turner Clark, Nash McHan; nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Joyce Scott will be held Saturday July 15, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the Shine Your Light Ministries with Reverend Wayne Owenby and Reverend Billy Willis officiating. Interment will follow in the Center Point Baptist Church Cemetery with Daniel Owen, Trey McHan, Mark McHan, Morrison Stinnett, Ivan Calderon, Chris Clark, Triston Stinnett and Matt McHan serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Friday.
