Barbara Ann Love, age 72, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 7, 2017 surrounded by her caring family. Barbara was born in Savannah, GA on November 3, 1944 to the late Edward Silvers and Gladys Corn Silvers. Barbara was also preceded by her brothers; Ralph Silvers, Ronnie Silvers, Junior Silvers and Raymond Silvers.

Barbara loved her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother and Nana. She was a faithful follower of Christ. She enjoyed her prayer group which brought her great joy and strength through the years. Barbara retired in 2009 as the Whitfield County Clerk.

Barbara is survived by her devoted husband, John Robert Love. They met while both were working at Barwick Mills in Dalton. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with close family and friends on November 24, 2016. Barbara is also survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Tony and Heather Love of Cumming, GA, daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Nick Griswell of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Olivia Love, Sam Love, Noah Griswell and Jonah Griswell, brother and sister-in-law, Tim and Marilyn Silvers of Chatsworth, as well as several nieces and nephews and many friends.

A celebration of life service for Barbara will be held Saturday March 11, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel, with the Reverend James Shope officiating. Interment will follow the service at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens, with Tony Love, Noah Griswell, Nick Griswell, Greg Cowell and Tim Silvers serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Friday March 10, 2017 at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.
