Mrs. Barbara Ann Haynes age 81, of Tunnel Hill, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, December 18, 2022, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Ann was born December 16, 1941, in Canton, Georgia, a daughter of the late William Grady and Grace Beatty Baldridge Sanford.  She was also preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband of sixty-six years, Farris Dewey Haynes, who died August 1, 2022, her brother, Raymond Yancey and sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Jo and Harlan Evans and Billie Sharon Kinsey.

Ann retired from Hamilton Medical Center where she worked for over twenty plus years as a Registered Nurse. She received her nursing degree from Dalton State College in 1985.  She was a member of Agape Baptist Church.

Ann is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Delbert and Karen Haynes of Rocky Face, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Beverly and Roland Joy of Hampden Maine; grandchildren, Michael and Shanna Guess, Zach and Diana Poarch, Justin Poarch and Whytnie Martin Sackett, Jacob and Karena Haynes, Lucas Haynes; great grandchildren, Jett, Halen, Aidan, Andrew, Mason Farris, Mahala, Ryan, Adelina, Laura; brother-in-law, Richard Kinsey of Resaca, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbara Ann Haynes will be held Wednesday December 21, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Gary McPherson and Reverend Clyde Painter officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband in the Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum with Delbert Haynes, Jacob Haynes, Jett Haynes, Justin Poarch, Zach Poarch, and Michael Guess serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Tuesday and after 12:00 p.m. Noon Wednesday until the service hour.
