Mrs. Barbara Ann "Bobbie" Cloer, age 81, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday afternoon, April 12, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family.
Bobbie was born August 15, 1941, in Benton, Tennessee. Bobbie was a stay-at-home Mom until her daughters all started school and then she worked at Aladdin Mills for over thirty –six-years. Bobbie was a member of the Church of Christ. To say that family was important to Bobbie would be an understatement. Family was her life, and it was very rare to see her without her daughters and grandchildren.
Bobbie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Robert Edward "Bobby" Cloer, Sr, a daughter, Mona Hampton, son, Bobby Cloer, Jr., grandsons, Jason Hampton, Cale Hampton and Devon Cloer, her parents, William Floyd "Bo" Stewart, Henrietta and George Dozier, sister, Peggy Noland, Brothers, Charles Stewart and Robert Stewart and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Tillie West Cloer.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Susie and Alan Pritchett of Chatsworth, GA, Tina and Lee Fields and Robert Hampton all of Dalton GA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Anthony Sides, Kelly and Ryan Young, Joshua and Ashley Thomason, Dillon and Ashley Fields, Jason Fields, and Holli Fields; great-grandchildren, Tealy Claire Sides, Millie Sides, Sam, Canaan and Elizabeth Thomason, Ella and Huxley Young, Havana and Ivy Waller, and Grace Coykendall; goddaughter, Sharon Adams;
brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Temple and Sandra Cloer and Virginia Cloer Martin all of Dalton GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Barbra Ann "Bobbie" Cloer will be held Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Minister Scott Sides and her grandson, Joshua Thomason officiating. She will be laid to rest with her husband at Free Hope (Luffman) Cemetery in Murray County, Georgia, with Gary Cloer, Steve Noland, Kenny Noland, John Noland, Anthony Sides, Joshua Thomason, Ryan Young, and Dillion Fields honored to serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Friday and after 11:00 a.m. Saturday till service hour.
