Mrs. Audrey Nell Potts Woods, age 78, of Cartersville, Georgia, peacefully passed away on Monday, February 3, 2025, at the home of her brother, Tony Potts, in Waleska, Georgia, surrounded by her loving family.

Born on November 9, 1946, in Rome, Georgia, Audrey was the eldest of seven children born to the late Lee Mack "Joe" Potts and Mary Frances Pearson Potts. At the tender age of sixteen, Audrey faced the sudden loss of her mother. In the wake of this hardship, her grandmother, Loey Potts, lovingly took in all seven children and raised them as her own. Audrey's caring and compassionate nature became evident early on, and she was often lovingly called "Sweet Audrey." Audrey never met a stranger, always welcoming others with open arms and a warm heart. Her family was her greatest joy and she was a constant source of love and support to those around her.

Audrey dedicated over thirty years of her life to working at Cartersville Spinning. She was also a faithful member of Faith Tabernacle in Rydal, Georgia, where she found strength in her faith and community.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Bobby Clinton Woods, who passed away on April 1, 2019. Also preceding her in death were her grandparents, Lee "Buck" and Loey Potts, James Ernest and Mary Pearson, her sister-in-law, Brenda Potts, and brother-in-law, Eddie Morris.

Audrey's memory lives on in her cherished family. She is survived by her sons, Gary Woods (Lori) of Cartersville, GA, and Russel and Vonnie Woods of Woodstock, GA; her grandchildren, Megan Woods and Caleb Bunch, Taylor Woods and Shelly, Miranda and Johnny Garcia, Dawson and Daley Woods; her great-grandchildren, Emma Grace, Paisley Jordan, Lakelynn Leigh, and one on the way; her loving sisters, Carolyn Owens of Cartersville, GA, Betty Jo Morris, Gail and Terry Rampley, all of Waleska, GA; her brothers, Jerry and Freda Potts of Pine Log, GA, Bobby Potts, and Tony Potts, both of Waleska, GA; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her deeply.

The family invites friends to join them in celebrating Audrey's life at Faith Tabernacle, 3831 Hwy. 140, Rydal, GA 30171, on Friday, February 7, 2025, at 2:00 p.m., with Reverend Randy Harris and Pastor Charlon Robertson officiating. Audrey's granddaughter, Miranda Garcia, will share special memories and a heartfelt poem. She will be laid to rest with her family at Oak Hill Baptist Church. Serving as pallbearers will be Dawson Woods, Taylor Woods, Jason Jordan, Mike Morris, Charles McCoy, and Eric McCoy. Audrey's three brothers will serve as honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 6, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., and on Friday, February 7, 2025, from 12:00 p.m. until the service hour, at Faith Tabernacle.

The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to all who have offered their love and support during this time of loss. Audrey will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, kindness, and family will continue to inspire all who knew her.
