Mrs. Artie Conn Thomas, 96, of Ellijay, Georgia, departed this life on Sunday morning, May 17, 2020 at Sonshine Manor Assisted Living Facility in Ellijay, Georgia.

Mrs. Thomas was born in Atlanta, Georgia on December 16, 1923.  She was a daughter of the late Albert and Bell Brimer Conn.  In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Horace Len Thomas.

She was most recently associated with Publix in the Greater Atlanta area where she was a well-known door greeter.  Prior to Publix she worked in the offices for Economy Auto Stores.

She is survived by her son, Ronnie Chatham of Cartersville, Georgia, and her niece, Beverly Ernst of Rydal, Georgia.

To fulfill Mrs. Thomas's wish, she will be cremated.  Her cremains will be placed beside her husband in the Columbarium at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.
