Mr. Arthur Joe Parker, age 73, of Resaca, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, January 9, 2021, at home. He was born February 19, 1947 in Jasper, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Parker, wife, Elise Johnson Parker, daughter, Carolyn Spears, grandson Terry Eugene Swim.

He is survived by his son, Sam Swim of Dalton, GA; daughters, Carolyn Spears, Rena Hall, Sherry Swim, Debbie Swim all of Dalton, GA; brother, William Parker; thirteen grandchildren, several great grandchildren.

Service to celebrate the life of Mr. Arthur Joe Parker will be held Monday January 18, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Sunday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
