Mrs. Arlene Mary Elder, age 85, of Calhoun, Georgia departed this life Friday, September 20, 2024, at her residence.

Arlene was born August 8, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, daughter of the late, John and Helen Runinski Check.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Earl Elder and sons, Dale Elder, John Elder and her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Willie Price and Geneva Maude Waters Elder.  She retired from AT & T after thirty plus years.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Sandra Elder of Adairsville, GA, Danny and Debbie Elder of Calhoun, GA, and Wanda Elder of Chatsworth, GA; daughter, Rene'a Beavers of Calhoun, GA; and a grandson whom she cared for as a son, John Duckett of Calhoun, GA; several other grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Arlene will be entombed with her husband in the Hope Mausoleum at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens. At her request no services or visitation will be held.
