Anthony Charles Pereira (TONY) went to be with the Lord Monday June 19th, 2023. Tony was a very popular figure wherever he went and will leave many good memories with friends and family. His temperament and social life were magnetic and he would socialize with anyone irrespective of their social status, national origin, or whatever. He was married to Sally Ann
Pereira and fathered a daughter, Angela Dawn Martin of Hanover, PA and a son, Anthony David Pereira of Ooltewah, TN. He also leaves a son-in-law, Keith Martin of Hanover, PA, a daughter-in-law, Caroline Pereira of Ooltewah, TN and two grandchildren, Sofia and Samuel Pereira.
Tony was originally from Rio de Janeiro Brazil and had a law degree but never exercised his expertise as an attorney in the States. He came to Northern Virginia in 1972 and met Sally at Arlington Assembly of God when they sang together in the church choir. He and Sally lived in Northern VA for many years and they were active at Manassas Assembly of God; Tony served
as Deacon, choir member, and worship drummer. From there, they relocated to Edgewater Florida where Tony served as Deacon at Bella Vista Baptist Church and once again, was very active with the worship ministry and choir. Tony and Sally then settled in Cleveland, TN to be close to their grandchildren. Tony was a hard worker, a dedicated husband and father and there is so much more to say about him. His family knows he is in heaven, they know who is with him, and they know one day they will be united again.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Anthony Charles "Tony" Pereira will be held Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Ponders Brainerd Chapel, 4203 Brainerd Rd., Chattanooga, TN.

The family will receive friends after 1:00 p.m. until the service hour.
