Annie Mae Whitmore age 87, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Wednesday July 10, 2019 at the Chatsworth Health Care. She was born April 24, 1932 in Copper Hill, TN a daughter of the late John Robert and Lillie Henson Gray. She was also preceded in death by her husband Wilburn Whitmore, son-in-law, Reverend Larry Tallent, brothers, Henry Gray, Thomas Gray, sisters, Della Talley, Lessie Burke, Louella Ross, Dorothy Dillard, Ruth Goude.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Barbara Whitmore of Dalton, GA; daughters and son-in-law, Betsy Tallent of Chatsworth, GA, Ruthann and Ricky Stover of Chatsworth, GA; eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Mae Whitmore will be held Friday July 12, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Brian Whitmore officiating. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery with Richard Stover, Brandon Stover, Ernest Majors, Nathan Lawrence, Casey Tallent and Terran Lewis serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Thursday.
