Mrs. Annie Lee Stone, age 79 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday September 3, 2015 at the local hospital. Annie was born June 14, 1936 in Ellijay, GA, a daughter of the late James and Elsie Mulkey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Lee Stone, daughters, Jessie Lee Stone, Carolyn Parker, granddaughter, Lora Pearce, brother, Charles Mulkey.
She is survived by her granddaughter, Valerie Stone; brothers and sisters-in-law, Eugene and Betty Mulkey, Leeroy and Deborah Mulkey of Dalton, GA, Shirley Mulkey of Resaca, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Birdie and Bill Hayes, Geneva and Carl Pace of Dalton, GA; great grandchildren, Zayan Stone, Isaac Stone, Emerald Pearce, Annastasia Rogers; several nieces and nephews.
Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Lee Stone will be held Sunday September 6, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Marvin Brock officiating. Interment will be in the New Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
