Mrs. Annie Celes Scott, age 82, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, November 16, 2020, at her residence. She was born July 24, 1938 in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia a daughter of the late Reverend AG and Bessie Silvers Hobbs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Grady Scott, brother, Lee Hobbs, sisters, Judy Black, Reba Wilson, Syble Singleton, Alide Siffles, granddaughter, Aubrey Scott.

She is survived by her daughters and son-in-law, LuAnn and Howard Diamond of Pace, FL, Diane Bean of Dalton, GA, Angela Scott of Chatsworth, GA; brother, Billy Hobbs of Dalton, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Robert Trotter of Chattanooga, TN; grandchildren, Teresa Baynes, Amanda Baynes, Ethan Bean, Trevor "Bo" Diamond, Hannah Scott, Kyler Scott; great grandchildren, Jasmine, Daniel, Mataya, Mikey, Zavon ; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Annie Celes Scott will be held Friday November 20, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel. Interment will follow in the West Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Due to the National health crisis and the Covid-19 virus, masks must be worn properly at all times and social distancing must be observed when visiting the funeral home.
