Mrs. Annie Mae Prince, age 78, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2015 at Quinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation. Annie was born October 23, 1936 in Blairsville, GA, a daughter of the late Guy Clifford and Rosie Garien Townson. She was also preceded in death by her brother, John Townson.
She is survived by her husband of fifty eight years, Charles Ernest Prince of the residence; sister-in-law, Gladys Townson of Murphy, NC; nephews, Jerry Townson of Suches, GA, Charles Townson of Haysville, NC; great nephew, Guy Townson; great niece, Marie Townson of Murphy, NC; special friends, Jimmy Harrison of Dalton, GA, Susan Wright of Tunnel Hill, GA.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Mae Prince will be held Friday June 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Charlie Hamm officiating. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Union County, GA, with Jerry Townson, Charles Townson, George Hammock, Jimmy Harrison, Transito Gomez Alamillo and Dale Lawhorn serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday.
