Mrs. Annie Mae Mobbs, age 79, of Calhoun, GA, departed this life, Tuesday September 29, 2015 at Golden Living Center of Rome, GA. Annie was born May 21, 1936 in Rome, GA; she was the daughter of the late Lizzie Dee Bice. She was also preceded in death by her brother Carlton Hathcock. Annie was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

Mrs. Annie Mae Mobbs is survived by her husband of fifty-nine years, Russell Mobbs; daughter, Gail and Jacky Waits of Calhoun, GA; brothers; Joe and Vickie Hathcock of Boynton, FL; sister, Cathy Cook Jarvis and Henry Jarvis of Valdeves, NC; grandchildren, Leigh Ann Hunt and Jamey Hunt of Calhoun, GA and Jordan and Tiffany Waits of Calhoun, GA and great-grandchildren, Noah and Cooper Hunt of Calhoun, GA and Tyler and Jack Waits of Calhoun, GA; several nieces and nephews.

Service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Annie Mae Mobbs, will be held 11:00 a.m., Thursday October 1, 2015 from Ponders Calhoun Chapel with Rev. Clinton Green, Rev. Jamey Hunt and Rev. Jacky Waits officiating. She will be laid to rest at Morning View Cemetery in Rome, GA, with Tyrone Howell, Allen Davis, Bryan Childs, Randall Fuquea, Donnie McDonald and Wesley Hunt serving as pallbearers.
