Ms. Annie Fortner, age 64, of Dalton, Georgia departed this life, Tuesday morning January 16, 2024, at her home. She was born January 25, 1959 in Copper Hill, TN, a daughter of the late Johnny and Nora Ellen Cross Carter. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Fortner, brothers, Charles Carter, Will Carter, Todd Carter, Jake Carter, James Skinny Carter.

She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Michael and Heather Cole of Dalton, GA, Frank Fortner of Tunnel Hill, GA; daughter, Janet Silcox of Dalton, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Dalmas and Sandra Carter of Cleveland, TN; sisters, Norma Jean Watts of Dalton, GA, Sue Cook of Blairsville, GA; grandchildren, Brittnay Payne, Teri Brown, Franklin Fortner, Destiny Fortner, Tracy Lawton, Dillion Thomas Fortner, Serinity Fortner; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on  Friday January 19, 2024.
