Mrs. Anne Margaret Hamer, age 75, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, February 16, 2026, at her home.

Anne was born December 30, 1950, in Davenport, Iowa, a daughter of the late Kenneth Arthur and Mary Gertrude (McGinn) Weise.  She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband Robert L "Robb" Hamer, her grandparents, Daniel B and Margaret McGinn and Arthur Weise, Margaret Udall.

Anne was a 1969 graduate of Mt. St. Clare Academy, Clinton, IA, and later earned her associate's degree in Radiography from Valencia Community College in Orlando, FL.  She devoted many years to the medical field, working at Winter Park Memorial Hospital in Winter Park, FL.

A woman of deep faith, Anne was Roman Catholic and her faith was very important to her.  She had a strong spiritual life, enjoyed visits with family and friends, word puzzles, talking about new recipes, and taking a deep dive into her most recent book or movie.

Anne was charming, delightfully eccentric in the best way, and was known for being a wonderful storyteller.  She enjoyed games, laughter and making memories with those she loved.  She lived life on her own terms – boldly, with a heart full of love for her family.

She is survived by her sister, Maura and Mike Kalafut of Cohutta, GA; brothers Daniel and Cristy Weise of Largo, FL, Timothy and Jill Weise of Murfreesboro, TN, and Patrick and Christa Lira of Oviedo, FL.; aunt, Sister Margaret A. McGinn, BVM, of Dubuque, IA; uncle, Donald and Linda Weise of Roswell, NM; nieces and nephews, Ryan (Jeannie) Weise, Benjamin (Alison) Weise, Charles (Anna) Weise, Sarah (Beau) Kohler, Chance (Spencer) Weise, and Mariah (Adam) Mabry, Meaghan Kalafut, Macavan Kalafut, and Madeleine Kalafut, and several great-nephews and great-nieces.  She will also be fondly remembered by many cousins and close friends dear to her, including Mike V, Karla G., Tanner M, Sharon M., Teresa P, Sally S and Danielle S.

A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, 968 Haig Mill Lake Rd, Dalton, GA on March 2, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
