Obituary

Ms. Ann Bray, age 90, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday, June 6, 2026, at her residence.

Ann Bray was called home to be with her lord and savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 6, 2026. She was born in Resaca, Georgia on May 14, 1936, and was preceded in death by her parents, Sygman Rogoskie "SR" & Eunice Ray Sloan and her siblings Mary Roberts, Reed Sloan, & James Sloan.

She was a devout Christian and loved her lord and savior Jesus Christ. She accepted Jesus as her lord and savior early in life at around 22 years of age.

Ann was a classy southern lady. She adored her cat, Baby. She loved her family deeply and enjoyed spending time with them. She loved sharing detailed stories of her life and her memories. Ann was a wonderful cook and baker, if you ever tasted one of her cakes you were in for an amazing treat. If you ever rode with Ann, you know she had a bit of a lead foot and liked to drive fast. She loved the lord and shared his words with everyone she met. If you needed prayer, she was the one to call.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Tracy Roberts, Carolyn Moore, Keith Austin, Marlene Brown, Gayle Bramlett, Mark Sloan, Patsy Strickland, Rebecca Beckham, Shirley Nix, and the late Randy Sloan.

Great nieces and nephews are Justin Medlin, Kayla Selvy, Lee Moore, April Moore Sergent, Melissa Whitmore, Lynn Green, Kathy Kinsey, Rory Caldwell, Derek Caldwell, Dawn Strickland, Josh Beckham, Jerred Beckham, Jake Beckham, Kristy Brown Aker, Jeff Brown, Denny Bramlett, Julie Branch, John Gordon, Matthew Sloan, Hailey Crider, Felicia Mullinax, Abby Gunnels, Holly Powell, Slade Barton, & the late Jada Barton. There are many Great-Great nieces and nephews that she adored.

Arrangements entrusted to Ponders Melrose Chapel in Dalton GA.

Family and Friend are invited to attend a Graveside Memorial at Mount Zion Cemetery on June 10, 2026 at 3:00pm with Pastor Raymond McCranie and Minister Matthew Sloan officiating.

Pall Bearers will be Rory Caldwell, Derek Caldwell, Lee Moore, Justin Medlin, Slade Barton, and Mark Sloan.
