Mrs. Ann S Batey, age 88, of  Calhoun, Georgia departed this life on Friday morning, January 5, 2024, at the Calhoun Health Care. She was born March 3, 1935 in Dalton, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Sisson, Rossie and Hugh Cline, husbands, Whaley Chance, Thomas Batey, brothers, Charles Cline, Edward Cline, sisters, Alma Ivey, Ada Stallard.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Kendell and Terri Chance of Gray, GA, Wendell and Brenda Chance of Resaca, GA; sister, Beatrice McCamy of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jessica and Dustin Keith, Erik and Jamie Chance, Jonathan and Brittany Chance, Joseph and Sarah Chance, Stephen Taylor; great grandchildren, Maridan, Evan, Candance, Khole, Isabella, Sadie, Rylan, Allen, Mason, Cole, Anie, Brady, Heath, Mallory, Ava; nieces and nephews.

Memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ann Mae Batey will be held will be held Saturday January 13, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Clyde Willingham officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Inurnment will follow in the Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
