Mrs. Amanda G. Phelps, age 55, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life, Saturday December 4, 2021 at her home. She was born January 15, 1966 in Knox County, KY. She was preceded in death by her father, Parker Garland, brother, Jeffery Garland, sister, Alma Cook, great niece, Andrea Blevins.

She is survived by her husband, Johnny Phelps of the residence; daughter, Misty Hembree of Resaca, GA; mother, Leona Smallwood Garland; brothers, Michael Garland, Kenny Hembree of Bronston, KY, Bruce Garland of Monticello, KY; sisters, Connie Mills of Bronston, KY, Rhonda Ramsey of Somerset, KY, Donna Cook of London, KY, Virginia Braden of Russell Springs, KY, Margo McElwanin of Cincinnati, OH; grandchildren, Dalston Sexton, Chelsi Sexton, Gavin Sexton; nephews, Parker Garland, Timmy Garland, Brian Garland, Ronnie Garland, Donnie Garland, Ronald Hembree, Donald Hembree, Josh Dobbs, Chad Dobbs, Billy Cook, Jason Hembree, Brad Cook, Kyle Cook; nieces, Ashley Dobbs Aurther, Millie Aurther, Jessica Cook, Micha Hembree, Angie Hembree, Jenny Phelps, Cassie Garland.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Funeral Home on Thursday December 16, 2021 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Friday December 17, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home in Somerset, KY from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Service to celebrate the life of Amanda G. Phelps will be held Saturday December 18, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bronston Baptist Church Cemetery.
