Mr. Alvin Ray Morrison, age 51, of Rocky Face, Georgia departed this life on Thursday December 12, 2013 at the Chatsworth Health Care Center. Alvin was born June 19, 1962 in Ringgold, GA. He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Crider.

He is survived by his father, A.V. Morrison of Dalton, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Tanya and Tommy Newby of Rocky Face, GA, Dana and Chuck Knight of Dalton, GA, Terri Stinnett of Athens, TN, Jennifer Morrison of Dalton, GA, Serria Davis of Chatsworth, GA; sons, Christopher Morrison of Resaca, GA, Brent Carter of Dalton, GA; brothers, Scotty Morrison of Coleman, AL, Charlie Morrison of Lafayette, GA; sisters, Christy Lanning of South Carolina, Donna Stratton of Oklahoma; fourteen grandchildren.

Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mr. Alvin Ray Morrison will be held Monday December 16, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. from the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Danny Thomas officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11:00 A.M. until 12:30 P.M. on Monday.
