Mr. Allen Leon Baggett, age 51, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Monday, August 4, 2014 at his home. Leon was born March 20, 1963 in Orange County, Florida, a son of the late Cecil and Odean Overby.

He is survived by his companion, Joean McNeil; daughter, Yvette Rogers; brothers, Ricky Baggett and Sammy Baggett; sisters, Nellie Brock and Elizabeth Atkins; nephew, Steve Cardwell; nieces, April Presley, Syrie Baker and Patricia Boatwright; several other nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Allen Leon Baggett will be held Thursday morning, August 7, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel. He will be laid to rest at West Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 9:00 a.m. Thursday until the service hour.
