Mrs. Alice Marie Hargett, age 86 of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday October 6, 2022 at Dalton Place.   Alice was born July 29, 1936 in Whitfield County, Georgia. She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother, Jesse Lee and Juanita Bryson, and her mother, Fannie Mae Jones Thompson, her husband, Lonnie Wayne Hargett, her son, Jeffrey Hargett and a sister, Ruth Greene.  Alice worked as a waitress for many years and was a member of CrossPointe Christian Centre.

She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer R. Hargett of Locust Fork, AL; sisters, Frances Stinson and Irene Hammontree both of Dalton, GA; twin brothers, Terry and Joy Bryson of Varnell, GA, and Perry and Vickie Bryson of Tunnel Hill, GA; staff and friends at Dalton Place; many nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Alice Marie Hargett will be held Sunday, October 9, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. at Ponders Melrose Chapel.  Interment services will be Monday morning, October 10, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Ponders Whitfield Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum with her nephews, Douglas Hammontree, Tony Hammontree, Ralph Hammontree, Jerry Bryson, Nathan Stinson and Eli Hammontree honored to serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends at Ponders Melrose Chapel after 1:30 p.m. Sunday until the service hour.
