Mrs. Alice Fay Hammock, age 69, of Resaca, GA., departed this life, Tuesday March 29, 2016 at her residence. Alice was born June 11, 1946 in Dalton, GA, a daughter of the late Henry Summers Sr. and Laura Williams Summers. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jerry Williams, Henry Summers Jr., sisters, Carolyn Grace, Linda Summers. She was a member of the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church.

She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, George Hammock of the residence; daughters and sons-in-law, Loria and Donny Ray, Peggy and David Muse of Dalton, GA; stepchildren, Ricky Hammock of Adairsville, GA, Daphnia and Phil Rogers of Resaca, GA, Teresa and Nate Lucky, Rachel and Ronnie Patterson of Ranger, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and Mildred Summers of Resaca, GA, Eddie and Nancy Summers of Commerce, GA, Bobby Summers of Dalton, GA; sisters and brother-in-law, Teresa and Michael Kilpatrick, Cathy Maines of Chatsworth, GA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Ron Scheetz, Joshua and Michelle Ray, Sarah Howard, and Michael Hammock; great grandchildren, Lacey Allen, Kyleigh Allen, Braelyn Howard, Layla Smith, Sadie Scheetz, Little Ron Scheetz; several step grandchildren, step great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Alice Fay Hammock will be held Friday April 1, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. from the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church with Reverend Ronald Guffey and Reverend Robert Beavers officiating. Interment will follow in the Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Eleventh Avenue Baptist Church from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. on Thursday. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation at P.O. Box 78423 Atlanta, GA 30357.
