Mrs. Alexis Leah Gibson, age 36, of Calhoun, Georgia, departed this life Thursday evening, April 18, 2024, at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

Alexis was born December 14, 1987, in Dalton, Georgia.  She was preceded in death by her five year old son, Little Wyatt Gary Gibson, who died July 16, 2021, and her grandparents, Annie M. Mitchell and Lynwood Mitchell.

She is survived by her husband, Wesley Gibson, and would have celebrated their tenth wedding anniversary on November 7, 2024; daughter, Alyssa Gibson; mother, Andrea Mitchell; brother, Joshua L. Freeman all of Calhoun, GA; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gary and Pamela Gibson of Cohutta, GA; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service for Mrs. Alexis Leah Gibson will be held Friday, April 26, 2024 at 7:00 p.m. from the Ponders Melrose Chapel with her family and friends sharing memories and honoring her life. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 p.m. until the service hour.
