Mrs. Aera Ellen Bryant, age 89, of the Tilton Community in Whitfield County, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord Thursday evening, March 9, 2017 at the Hamilton Medical Center. Aera was born June 17, 1927 a daughter to the late Lester and Bonnie Anderson Caldwell. She was preceded by her husband Milton Bryant, and daughter Sandra Herrejon.

Aera is survived by the daughter of her heart Erica Wilkey and spouse Russell Wilkey of Dalton, GA, step children; Sharon and David Smith of Rocky Face, GA, Kendall and Sheila Bryant, Bruce Bryant all of Dalton, GA. She is also survived by brothers and sisters in law; Ray Caldwell of Titusville, FL, Joe and Jean Caldwell of Ellijay, GA, Doyle and Edna Caldwell of Dalton, GA, sisters and brother in law; Minnie Lee Ledford of Dalton, GA, Peggy Swords of Conyers, GA, Wanda and Pat Kelly of Conyers, GA, grandchildren; Tanisha Ward, Derick Wilkey, Mason and Angel Wilkey, Eric Jones, Bridgett and Kaley Bryant, Christopher, Aspen, and Miranda Tinson, Kaitlynn and Colton Wilkey and Eli Jones. She had several nieces and nephews.

Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Aera Ellen Bryant will be held Monday March 13, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Ponders Melrose Chapel with Reverend Eric Jones officiating. She will be laid to rest at Ponders Colonial Hills Memorial Park with friends and family serving as pall bearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
