Mrs. Adrienne Sue Slaton, known by most everyone in the Calhoun and Fairmount are as "Sue", departed this life on Sunday morning, September 9, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sue was born in Dalton, Georgia on September 5, 1951 a daughter of the Russell and Emma Hunter Cooper. Along with her parents she was also by a sister, Elma Tweed; and a brother, Charles Cooper.
Sue was a member of the former Soul's Harvest Ministries Church in Calhoun, Georgia.
Mrs. Slaton is survived by her loving husband, Clyde Slaton of the home; daughter, Melissa Mann of Calhoun; sons and daughter-in-law, Wiley and Natosha Jenkins of Fairmount, Georgia, Eugene Lynn of Dalton, Georgia, and Toby Slaton of Calhoun, Georgia; sister, Bessie McKinn of Fairmount, Georgia; sixteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, family members and special friends also survive.
The family of Mrs. Sue Slaton will receive friends on Thursday, September 13, 2018 between the hours of 5:00 until 9:00 P.M. at the Fairmount Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home.
To fulfill Sue's wishes, she will be cremated following the visitation.
