Mr. Travis D. Faucett
Mr. Travis D. Faucett, age 66, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the local hospital. Mr. Faucett was born August 11, 1943 in Whitfield County, Georgia, a son of the late William Roy and Maud Suddeth Faucett. He was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Earl Faucett, sisters Vivian Henry and Martha Faucett. Travis was a member of the Dalton Elks Club and was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Bill and Diane Faucett of Roswell, GA; sister Eleanor Jo Hunter of Smyrna, GA; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Travis Faucett will be held Wednesday, March 3, 2010 at 2:00 oclock p.m. at Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Ronald Guffey officiating. He will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with Mark Faucett, John Sisk, David Gibson, Chad Millinor, Bryan Abernathy and Ralph Thompson serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers will be George King, Bobby Brown, Jimmy Moss, Jimmy Newberry, Clyde Willocks, Al Johnson, Joe Kelly, Benny Frost, Buddy Mayo, Charles Bomar, Bob Combs, Hayden Wagers and many other friends. The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home from 12:00 noon until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday.
