Dorothy Latham

February 1921, 2010 10-064 Mrs. Dorothy Miller Latham, age 87, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Saturday afternoon February 20, 2010 at Regency Park Health center, in Dalton, Georgia. She was born February 13,1923 in Whitfield County. Dorothy was the last surviving child of Edward and Alice Miller. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Collier Latham, her sisters, Lois Teasley, Clara Miller, and her brothers, Kenneth Miller, Frankie Miller, Eugene Miller and William Miller. Mrs. Latham was Church of God by Faith and was an avid song writer, one of her songs will be sung at her Funeral which is  Wont It Be Heaven . She is survived by her Daughters and sons in law, Brenda and Ron Howard, Cohutta, GA, Mary and Herman Ledbetter, Tunnell Hill, GA, Grandchildren, Karen and Leslie Smith, Chris Ledbetter, Rick and Sharon Ledbetter, LeAnne and Tim Raines, Cindy Arnold and Robzell Wright, and 8 Great Grandchildren. Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Dorothy Miller Latham will be held Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at 3:00 oclock p.m. at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home. Reverend Carroll Allen and Reverend Herman Ledbetter officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her Husband at United Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home Monday, February 22 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M..
