Mrs. Nova Jean Wilson, age 93, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday morning, February 19, 2010 at Wildwood Health Care in Pickens County, Georgia. Jean was the last surviving child of Henry and Elizabeth Musgrove Shields. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Luke Wilson, her only child, Dolores Cochran and a grandson, Kerry Cochran. She was retired from The Three Sisters Department at Brymans Plaza and after her retirement worked at the Dollar General Store until she was ninety years old. She was a member of the Antioch Baptist Church for over seventy years.
She is survived by her grandchildren, Bret and Robin Cochran, Heather and Jerry Wolf all of Dalton, GA; great-grandchildren, Hannah Raye Cochran, Chas Cochran, LeShae Cochran, Jackson Wolf, Jarrett Wolf and Jeremiah Wolf; nephew, Bill Wilson of Millers Point, OH.
Graveside services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Nova Jean Wilson will be held Wednesday, February 24, 2010 at 1:00 oclock p.m. at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens with her pastor, Reverend Donald Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home after 11:00 0clock a.m. Wednesday.
