Mr. Jack Eugene Whitfield, 52,of Rocky Face, GA, departed this life on Wednesday, February 10, 2010. Jack was born July 27,1957, he is the son of the late Benjamin Whitfield, he was also pre deceased by his sister, Kay Robinson, his brothers, Mike Whitfield and Johnny Whitfield. Mr. Whitfield was a Leader for 10 years with the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts of America, and was a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Joan Wimpy Whitfield of the same residence, His son John Whitfield, Rocky Face, GA, his daughters and son in law, Teri Whitfield, Rocky Face, GA, Christina and Nathan Pedigo, Bowling Green KY, Amy Baskin, Bradenton ,FL, Dawn Mungia, Bradenton, FL, his mother, Mildred George Whitfield, Bradenton FL, Mother and Father in law, Derrell and Virginia Wimpy, Rocky Face, GA, 6 grandchildren, Christian and Kiera Payten, Kayla Smith, Cheyenne ,Malachai and Isaac Baskin.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jack Eugene Whitfield will be held Saturday, February 13, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. at Camp Sidney Dew in Armurchee, GA, where the family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until service time. In lieu of flowers the family suggest contributions be made to the N.W. Georgia Boy Scouts of America, P.O. Box 1422, Rome, GA, 30162.
