Mr. Waymon Sneed
Mr. Waymon L. Sneed of Dalton, Georgia departed this life Friday evening, January 29, 2010 at Hamilton Medical Center. Mr. Sneed enjoyed hunting and fishing. He served as a deacon at Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Mr. Sneed was preceded in death by his parents; Homer and Goldie Sneed; also, a brother; Ivan Sneed.
Waymon is survived by his wife of 47 years; Linda D. Sneed; a sister; Deenie Garner of Sarasota, FL; a brother and sister-in-law; Paul and Pat Sneed of Sugar Valley, GA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law; Larry and Kay Davis of Rome, GA; nieces; Maya Smith of Dalton, Joy Sneed of Dalton, Sonya Black of Rome, GA and Sharon Green of Rome, GA; nephews; Jason Sneed of Dalton and Javier Garner of Sarasota, FL; a great-niece; Kayla Green of Rome, GA; great-nephews; Stephen Self of Rome, GA and Nathan Smith of Dalton.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Waymon Sneed will be held at 2:30 PM Monday, February 1, 2010 at the Melrose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Crawford Greeson and Reverend Tim Sanford officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 5:00 until 8:00 PM. Contributions may be made to Bethlehem Baptist Church in memory of Mr. Sneed by mailing to Bill Lee (110 Hawkins Way, Dalton, GA 30721); flowers will also be accepted.
