Mrs. Phyllis Jean Martin
Mrs. Phyllis Jean Martin, age 54, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday morning, February 3, 2010 at the local hospital. Phyllis was born September 23, 1955 in Dalton, Georgia, the daughter of the late Robert and Ada Martin. She was also preceded in death by her brothers Richard Spence, Roger Martin, sister Marcella Serrit.
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law Terry and Sue Martin of Chatsworth, GA, Tim Martin of Dalton, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law Geneva Bennett of Chatsworth, GA, Joyce and Alan Strickland of Dalton, GA, Brenda and Ronnie Martin of Villanow, GA, Kathy Stewart of Dalton, GA; special niece Breanna Stewart; great nephew Trey Martin; several other nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Phyllis Jean Martin will be held Friday, February 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Melrose Rose Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Ricky Spence officiating. She will be laid to rest at the United Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday.
