Mr. Jerry Lamar Crider
Mr. Jerry Lamar Crider, age 70, of Rocky Face, Georgia, departed this life Wednesday, January 27, 2010 at the local hospital. Lamar was born February 02, 1939 in Whitfield County, Georgia, a son of the late Samuel and Willie Williams Crider. He was also preceded in death by his brother Richard Crider, sister Catherine Slaton. He was a member of the Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise.
He is survived by his wife, Geneva Nicholson Crider of the residence; son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Lamar and Lorie Crider of Dalton, GA; daughter, Deborah Torres of Chatsworth, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law Ervin and Sigrid Crider of Rocky Face, GA, Pete Kenneth and Shella Crider of Dalton, GA, Charles Crider of Ellijay, GA; grandchildren Natisah Searcy, Amber Searcy, Jacob Searcy, Shalbie Crider, Katelyn Crider, Brooklyn Crider, and Cassie Crider; several nieces and nephews.
Services to celebrate the life of Mr. Jerry Lamar Crider will be held Sunday, January 31, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Valley Cathedral of Praise with Reverend Clayton Brown officiating. He will be laid to rest in the United Memorial Gardens with Kenneth Crider Jr., Herbie Slaton, Richie Crider, Ryan Ash and Travis Ash serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Saturday.
