Mrs. Frances L. Bryant, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Thursday morning, January 7, 2010 at the local hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Frances was born September 7, 1951 in Whitfield County, Georgia, a daughter of the late Charlie and Mildred Teasley White. Frances and her late husband Garry were the owners of the Jewelry Connection and were members of the Dug Gap Baptist Church. Frances was also preceded in death by her husband of twenty nine years, Garry Lynn Bryant, April 1, 2009, and also a brother, Melvin White and her father-in-law, Ralph L. Bryant.
She is survived by her daughter, Whitney Lynn Bryant; her little hairless Chihuahua, Siri, which Frances called her grand-dog; mother-in-law, Betty Page Bryant; brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Joan White, Bobby and Elberta White, Allen and Brenda White; sisters brothers-in-law, Melissa Kernea, Susie and Silas Ward all of Dalton, GA, and Patricia and Denny Burger of Tellico Plains, TN; seven nieces, six nephews, eight grand-nephews, nine grand-nieces, four great-grand-nephews and three great-grand-nieces; special friends, Cindy and Aaron Walters and their children, Brittany and Evan, Missy and Kelly Williams and their children, Andrew, Bradley and Jennifer; Garland Brock, Annette Reece, Pam and Kenneth Bevil, Shirley and Lamar Curtis, Maurice and Shirley Daffron, Earl and Doris Brown.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Frances L. Bryant will be held Sunday, January 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. at the Dug Gap Baptist Church with Reverend Bill Walker will be officiating.
She will be laid to rest at the Whitfield Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bobby White, Allen White, Ken White, Lamar Burger, Aaron Walters and Kelly Williams. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. Saturday.
