Mrs. Barbara Helen Wright
Mrs. Barbara Helen Wright, age 71, of Resaca, Georgia departed this life Monday evening, January 4, 2010 at Calhoun Health Care. Mrs. Wright was born September 17, 1938 in Murray County. She was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Resaca. Helen was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Wright was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years; Blaine Wright, as well as a brother, Tony Davis.
Helen is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law; Steve and Angie Wright of Resaca and Greg Wright, also of Resaca; step-sons and daughters-in-law; Larry and Diane Wright and Danny and Mabel Wright, all of Resaca; step daughters and sons-in-law; Ramona Diane and Byron Brown of Resaca and Kathy and William Rittenhouse of Ellijay; a sister and brother-in-law; Maxie and Harbin Kirby of Resaca; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren; sisters-in-law; Ruby Weaver of Ellijay, Ethel Crook of Ellijay, and Jean Davis of Rocky Face.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Helen Wright will be held at 1:00pm on Thursday, January 7, 2010 at the Calhoun Chapel of Ponders Funeral Home with Reverend Jimmy Weaver officiating. Interment will follow the funeral service at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Resaca. Larry Wright, Danny Wright Byron Brown, Tony Rogers, Jason Wilson, Chris Hix, Chad Wright and Danny Wright Jr. will serve as pallbearers. The family will recieve friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 5:00pm until 9:00pm.
